You would think that finding a plain. solid-colored, nothing to it shirt would be the simplest task. Now, everyone is looking for bandeaus, band tees, floral stuff, outfits with mix-matching prints, whatever...but you rarely find someone that is going shopping for the sole purpose of finding a sold, plain shirt. I found that person today. My friend Shayna and I went shopping (for a while) today with the goal of finding her a solid colored, going out shirt that she could wear with this specific necklace she has. Needless to say, it was impossible. We went into almost every store imaginable from Top Shop to Forever to Express to Urban to somewhere else I was sworn secrecy not to disclose :) Not one place had a CUTE solid colored, plain, shirt, and after wandering up and down Michigan Avenue and the escalators at Water Tower Mall, we decided to give up and sit on the couch.
The multi-meaning phrase, "When you're looking for it, you won't find it," definitely plays a roll here.
So, in honor of Shayna, here are some cute, plain, solid colored, going out tops that I found online... although they won't be shipped by this weekend (unless you do overnight delivery), they are still good staples to have in order to mitigate this problem in the future :)
