FINALS ARE DUNZOOOOO

Finally my finals are over, and I have free time! Although I have been MIA, I have been thinking about awesome things I see people wearing to tell you guys about. First thing is this:

The most original name for shoes like this is one we all are familiar with -- "sneakers."  However, I call them hi heeled gym shoes :)

One of my friends just got a pair of these, and they are actually really cool.  I didn't know what I originally thought about these when I saw them on some girl's blog a while back, but they have definitely grown on me.  Seeing my friend wear them really enhanced my desire to purchase them!  Here are some more:

Check them out! I can't wait to start posting more frequently again!

Guest Post #3 by Amanda Berk

Hi Guys! I am not really a fashionista like Lauren, but I do a lot of running and yoga/barre/sculpt so here is my workout fashion post:

If you are running at a gym, most women wear the Nike Tempo Shorts – they are breathable, comfortable, come in a wide variety of colors and are reasonably priced. Here

(c/o store.nike.com)

They are $30 on Nike’s website, but you can buy them at almost any sporting goods store.

Recently I bought a couple pairs of the Lululemon Speed Shorts and I have been running in those. They are considerably more comfortable than the Nike shorts – downside is that they are more expensive ($54) and the neutral colors sells out very fast.

You can buy them on the Lululemon website or at any of their stores. If they are sold out online, you can probably find what you are looking for in the store. Here

If you are running outside in the cold weather, I recommend the Lululemon Switly Tech Long Sleeve. It is very warm and comfortable – I usually end up wearing these for running, restorative yoga or just around my apartment. These shirts come in long sleeve, short sleeve, turtleneck, tank tops, etc. The long sleeve version is $68. Here

Recently I’ve been doing a lot of hot yoga and I found that wearing running shorts was uncomfortable because they don’t really absorb sweat in a 105 degree room. So I bought these shorts that everyone in my class was wearing and they are amazing! You feel like you aren’t even sweating. They come in a few different lengths. I’ve seen them all in class but I like the middle tier length. There are $48.00 at lululemon here

For a more reasonable option the Victoria’s Secret Shortie is a similar concept but it has a rollover top (that can be more forgiving). They are $24.50 - $29.50 at Victoria’s Secret here.

A lot of women just wear sports bras in hot yoga. You can basically wear any kind that you feel comfortable in. I personally like wearing a full tank because it feels more supportive. Here is an example of a good one, but really any athletic top or sports bra (with or without a tank/shirt over it) will work:

Scoop Neck Tank from Lululemon $52. If you go into the store, they will oftentimes have a few tanks on sale. Also check out their sale online. Sometimes it is weird size/colors but sometimes you can find exactly what you want. here

These pants are really fun to wear to barre class. I have them in grey. They are really comfortable and look funny in the mirror when you pulse because of the pattern on the back and sides and the black block on the front center. Here

But really any stretchy black pants will work for barre class. You can also wear them to warm yoga, restorative, or to run/walk inside or outside. Here

Victoria’s Secret Bling Yoga Legging $39.50 - $49.50. Here

Enjoy!
