What are you going to wear this Spring?

So that little guy didn't see his shadow... meaning that Spring is upon us!...not really, considering it's still 40 degrees..but it's a good excuse to get rid of everything in your closet that you hate in order to make room for brand new Spring clothes! (which is what I just did).

If I had to sum up in a phrase what you'll see this Spring in regards to "trends" this is it: loose fitted t-shirts or tank tops tucked in to high waisted skirts, jeans (the ripped ones will be back), shorts, whatever, with a belt and layered long necklaces.

Are you happy about that? I would hope so considering it's the most "effortless" (shout out marguerite) look you can possibly get-- which is amazing.  You can start wearing this now, just instead of pastels (which will also be in), just wear darker colors such as greys, dark blues, blacks, etc.

The loose fitted shirts that will be in are going to have some sort of print on them... whether it's Superman (cartoons will be around), animals, some random sketch of a design, bands, or shapes...something will be there.. Think about the Junk Food Tees that used to be popular years back... those are making a return.

Considering the outfit is going to be pretty simple, the jewelry is going to be the main attraction.  You will see everything from layered long necklaces to a mix of silver and gold to vintage jewelry.  People will be wearing tons of bracelets and rings on their fingers at once, and there's not going to be anything subtle about it.

Look at these pictures below that I found are good examples of what I am talking about:

Tees:

Tanks:

Okay, I think you get my drift here.  Just remember, TUCK IT IN (not fully, sometimes just in the front, sometimes all around with it loosely hanging over your belt--you'll have to make that judgment)!  It not only will make you look more fashionable, but it's really slimming.

Jewelry:

Chloe and Isabel Three Row Paillette Graduated Pendant  (I own this and wear it pretty much everyday!)

Remember: chunkiness is key.  If you think something could look ridiculous, you're probably doing it right.

Knuckle Rings: --> I did a post about this before, but wear as many of them at once as you can.

Vintage Jewelry: ask grandma or go on etsy/Brand Melville

Here are some:

If this isn't your favorite "trend," don't worry, there's a lot of others coming as well! Just wait until tomorrow, and I will tell you.... but now I have to get back to watching Hawaii Life on HGTV and wishing I lived there. I hope everyone had a good weekend!
